Old School Break-Consolidated-1997 Donruss Elite - jumpman23com - 10-15-2011 11/02- Breaking two boxes of 97 Donruss Elite-will post 6 packs at a time. 10/17 I'll be consolidating my rips to one thread. Most will be box breaks of 1990's and early 2000 material. I can't say how often I'll post updates but I will get to scans this week! I'm just busy with school. So enjoy! 10/16 So I'm doing a couple tin boxes of 1997 and 1998 Donruss Preferred. Nicely designed with many different subsets in each year. Inserts sets have some of the most eye-catching designs as well. The best hits are the Precious Metal Cards made from actual Silver,Gold or Platinum. RE: Old School Break-1997&1998 Donruss Preferred Box - sesfan01 - 10-15-2011 That should be a fun break. Let me know of any Chippers you pull. RE: Old School Break-1997&1998 Donruss Preferred Box - jumpman23com - 10-15-2011 1997 Donruss Preferred Gold Tin Box (24 Tins) -Staremaster 4 Cal Ripken Jr. -X-Ponential Power 6 Jim Edmonds -X-Ponential Power 10 Ken Caminiti 1998 Donruss Preferred Gold Tin Box (24 Tins) -Great X-Pectations Mike Piazza/Todd Greene /3000 -Title Waves 21 Randy Johnson -Title Waves 4 Gary Sheffield -Title Waves 23 Greg Maddux In the 1998 Box I received one gold tin pack of Hideo Nomo /199 which I'm keeping sealed for now. Scans later I also want to point out that the cards in the 97 Box seemed to have been banged around due to the fact they are loosely contained inside the tin pack. Most corners show wear and dents. Something to keep in mind if you're looking to grade these. Scans tomorrow, sorry! RE: Old School Break-1997&1998 Donruss Preferred Box - cheetos - 10-16-2011 any Will Clarks? RE: Old School Break-1997&1998 Donruss Preferred Box - petesahuttt - 10-16-2011 Those are 2 of my favorite sets of all-time. I loved the foil on the '97s and the team colored borders on the '98s, those colors were so sharp. I remember driving home from White Plains with 12 boxes of those big tins clanking around in the tiny trunk of my Miata.......such memories! How much did you pay for those boxes? I haven't seen one of those come up for sale in quite some time. RE: Old School Break-1997&1998 Donruss Preferred Box - johnxgodfree - 10-16-2011 I could use the maddux title waves, always liked how that card looks and still need to pick it up RE: Old School Break-1997&1998 Donruss Preferred Box - jumpman23com - 10-16-2011 I pulled a base of Will Clark but I'm not sure of Chipper Jones. The Maddux is available as soon as I figure out what the protocol is on Beckett. Thanks for looking.
