About the BGS boxes - kr0n420 - 09-22-2011 10:32 PM Hey all, In my most recent grading order, I opted to get 2 of the BGS graded card boxes. I submitted the order form along with my grading order, received the reduce price for doing so etc. Does anyone know the standard procedure for receiving the boxes? I've heard a couple varying stories in passing, sometimes they put your graded cards right in the boxes you ordered and ship them that way, sometimes the boxes are separate, things like that. Not that I'm greatly concerned, I'm sure they'll be here eventually, I just don't know when to expect them. My cards arrived on the 20th, and I haven't heard anything of the boxes other than to see the charge for them on my grading invoice lol. My main concern is that since they didn't come with the cards, I don't know how the boxes themselves are being shipped. If it's FedEx again that means I need to make a point that there is a note left in my apartment lobby (the buzzer under my name doesn't work -_-) Anyone that's purchased boxes more than once, your input would be greatly appreciated Or I might have to wait for Jeff to find this thread heh. Thanks all, Adam RE: About the BGS boxes - jeffv96masters - 09-24-2011 12:22 AM (09-22-2011 10:32 PM)kr0n420 Wrote: I don't know how the boxes themselves are being shipped. Because you ordered two, prob both will come in on bigger box. I e-mailed someone at Beckett who was talking to me during my order fulfillment (he contacted me about 2 damaged cards) and I have received no reply. What's the next step? Spam grading@beckett.com with questions and inquiries until I get a response? Anyone else with some experience on ordering these have any input? It'd probably be a little more reliable if you ordered more than 1 box like I have But your input is very much appreciated msimonds, cheers. Thanks all. Chargeback on the Credit Card will get there attention RE: About the BGS boxes - kr0n420 - 09-30-2011 02:07 PM Haha well hopefully it won't come to that, but I'm sure that would get their attention. Sent an email to grading@beckett.com yesterday afternoon in regards to the boxes, going to wait until Tuesday afternoon before following up. Haven't heard a single word from Joe Clemons (jclemons@beckett.com) who contacted me on Sept. 13th (this order's due date) to inform me of 2 damaged cards. Joe Clemons Wrote:Let me know before you send your next order and I’ll give you a price break to help make up for what you paid for these. My last e-mail to him was Sept. 20th. My most recent BGS submission was mailed out Sept. 28th w/ 2 day turnaround. Not frustrated with the lack of results/action (yet), but the lack of communication whether it be initiative or responsive is sub-par and now public. Hopefully the people at grading@beckett.com will have a good response time, otherwise I guess I'm hitting the phones on Tuesday. It'd be most unfortunate if I have my Sept. 28th submission in hand before hearing a response about the boxes/Joe Clemons. Good luck Beckett. RE: About the BGS boxes - branesergen - 10-04-2011 05:17 AM What are these boxes you speak of? They have a top (which has the Beckett crest on it) and a bottom. I think they hold about 28 Beckett Graded cards (depending on how you position them). I hope that this helps. If you have any more questions, just ask. Here's a link to the order form; there is also a picture of them: http://www.beckett.com/grading/box_order-form.pdf RE: About the BGS boxes - kr0n420 - 10-04-2011 01:38 PM (10-04-2011 07:25 AM)nolan5000 Wrote: They're solid blue (they do fade, however). Yeah they're nothing too fancy, only $6.99 when buying them on their own. I just wanted to get them because at the moment my graded stuff jsut sits on the shelf, so I figured why not just throw in a couple extra bucks to get some proper storage since I'm getting stuff graded anyway. That didn't turn out so easy. Still haven't heard a peep from a single person. Closest thing to a re response I've got has been in this thread. RE: About the BGS boxes - kr0n420 - 10-05-2011 11:49 AM So still no response from Beckett. Time to hit the phones I guess. All this hassle for two boxes. Phone call #1: Talked with a woman that sounded like she was on a cell phone from the 80s. She also sounded quite annoyed right from the beginning so she made it difficult to ask for clarification on her unclear and non-committal responses, not to mention it being hard to hear because of the aforementioned phone line quality. She saw my request for the boxes in the order that Beckett received on 07/11/2011. The same order that was shipped back to me on 09/13/2011. She mentioned that they had stopped doing the boxes for a while, and had just brought them back "a while ago". If they received my order on July 11th, I'm guessing I probably sent it around July 1st-5th. Let's say the 5th. July 5th -> Oct. 5th. 3 months so far. Granted it was a 45-day turnaround order and I am not holding that against them, but seeing as how I'm currently sitting at 90 days the turnaround of my card order is redundant. The boxes have been available to order for (at least) 90 days, and they apparently don't have them to send out to customers. She went on to say that they would hopefully be sent out this week, "or maybe" next week. I'm not sure what shipping they plan on using, let's assume FedEx Ground (6 days) the same as my original Submission. Friday is the 92nd calendar day and (assuming it moves on Friday) I'll probably receive it on Friday October 14th, the 99th day. If it gets sent "maybe next week", assume Friday again, it'll be mailed on the 99th day, and I'll probably receive on Friday October 19th, the 106th day. At the moment I am supposed to be waiting an undetermined amount of time for the woman I was speaking with to e-mail some kind of update on the boxes. Since Joe Clemons and grading@beckett.com have already failed to respond to me, I won't be holding my breath for this customer service rep to get back to me either.
