Question about 2011 Inception - TRAVISTURNER - 08-25-2011

Why are there some of the rookie autos from the set not showing a print run or a price, in the 'base' set. For instance, jake locker... looks like there isnt a 'base' Auto for him, but there are the blue/gray/green/red/platinum parallels... ??

RE: Question about 2011 Inception - ejnfl24 - 08-25-2011

There aren't base auto's for the Group A rookies like Newton, Locker, Green, Jones, etc. only lower print run parallels.

RE: Question about 2011 Inception - kvh18 - 08-25-2011

Whoa - when did they get priced?

It doesn't really suck IMO. They've always done it so they don't flood the market with the more "in demand" rookies. That way more people are still chasing them and thus still buying product. I'm not sure of everyone that's in Inception's "Group A".

It's funny..the wrappers tell you to go to Topps.com for the tier listings and when you go to the website there is nothing there.

Topps must have the worst person running their website in history...still haven't even gotten the Giveaway site up and running...

I have all of the rookies for this set put together EXCEPT for Jake Locker. All of the base rookies are listed on Beckett with the following players having the following print runs as stated:

I have put together the set based on what cards were indeed printed and put in packs. So for Andy Dalton, there is no base card so I went to the next level in which there is a card - which is /50. I did that for all of the following rookies:

Andy Dalton - only available in /50,/25, /1
AJ Green - only available in /25, /1
Blaine Gabbert - only available in /25, /1
Cam Newton - only available in /75,/50,/25,/1
Christian Ponder - only available in /25, /1
Julio Jones -only available in /50,/25, /1
Jake Locker - only available in /25, /1
Mark Ingram - only available in /25, /1
Ryan Mallett - available in base set, not available in /75, available in /50,/25,/1

Good luck to everyone putting this set together. I am thankful that I was able to do so. Going to wait until the hobby realizes how impossible it is to put this together before attempting to take offers for it.

I notice also that there are quite a few cards that appear to be base set cards but are numbered. Other then that there doesnt appear to any differentiation between em and a normal base card. Maybe i am missing something but either way they are great looking cards.

Cowboys fanatic,

There are base cards 100 of them that are not numbered. Backgrounds are sort of brownish on the card.

Those same cards also carry parallel versions and have different backgrounds - either blue, grey, green or red. Blue are #rd to 208, Grey are numbered to /108, green are #rd to /75 Red are #rd to 25.

There is a difference........

So I would say that the following are considered in Group "A"

Andy Dalton - only available in /50,/25, /1
AJ Green - only available in /25, /1
Blaine Gabbert - only available in /25, /1
Cam Newton - only available in /75,/50,/25,/1
Christian Ponder - only available in /25, /1
Julio Jones -only available in /50,/25, /1
Jake Locker - only available in /25, /1
Mark Ingram - only available in /25, /1
Ryan Mallett - available in base set, not available in /75, available in /50,/25,/1
