RE: Does it bother anyone else? - Icedog76 - 02-18-2012 11:01 PM I see $1.75 - $2.50 as reasonable and have 4.9 rating for shipping costs....I take the time to put them in a penny sleeve, top loader, foam or cardboard protection and then a team bag all inside an envelope...print labels indicating not to bend, addresses, etc...if I can get a Bubble mailer past the post office without being out of pocket, I will usually put it inside a bubble mailer......surely not worth $10+....but $2..sure..$3...sure....charging $10 and shipping it with 60 cents postage....It better be in-cased in a 24k Gold Top Loader and when I see multiple auctions from a seller....no combined shipping...Probably not going to bid. The problem with ebay is there is no real way to track sellers who are fleecing their customers who only want to fill their PC's....and the honest sellers are under such a gun they can't make enough back to buy a box of Pro-Set. Just needed to vent a little bit You should check out this new website. It is free to sign up and you can sell on it unlimited for only 12.95 per year! http://www.coxxxxxxxxxx RE: Does it bother anyone else? - josiahcecil - 03-03-2012 09:44 PM man its all because they know they wont get the full price of the item so they try and make up for it by charging more on shipping, basically bs RE: Does it bother anyone else? - dalasvixen - 03-20-2012 03:20 PM wow i must be doin good i ship in a toploader put it in a penny sleeve and wrap in bubble wrap and a padded evelope and only charge 3 dollars. unless its a big lot then i would do priorty that just went up to 535 i think in texas RE: Does it bother anyone else? - oljey - 03-20-2012 10:04 PM If the shipping cost is too high I just find another seller. If I am buying a big ticket item the seller will usually include free shipping. EVERYTIME... I can see it being 5 bucks... I charge 3 and was just thinking about raising it because the postage rates have went up... but then again that's not per card but per shipping... as many cards as I can fit in the padded envelope, with only the addition of 25 cents for each additional top loader (magnetic hold downs hold more cards) RE: Does it bother anyone else? - afff - 03-24-2012 03:09 PM i would say 10$ is a little steep for shipping depending on the item i'm selling mine range from free to 5$ RE: Does it bother anyone else? - jmc855 - 08-24-2012 07:22 AM My rule as a buyer, I never pay more than 20% of BV for any card. Shipping is taken into that as I set my max bid. I hunt for sellers with multiple cards I need that state they combine. If these criteria arent met, I dont bid. If someone outbids me, oh well, it's just a card. As a seller (very infrequent) my auctions all have free shipping charges and are priced at my same preference, 20% or less than BV is what my reserve is. |
