Need some help choosing what boxes to get - snailmonk - 03-01-2011 03:22 PM
i have roughly $550 to spend at my lcs...but i have no idea what to get...i woudl ove to get some sweet patches and autos (especially with spending that kind of money) but it is tough to decide...i want to get one of his last three boxes of 2009 exquisite, but it doesnt seem like the boxes i see open justify the $336 price...i know that no matter what i am getting a 2009 absolute for $145, but that is about it...i need some help deciding...i would appreciat any council and suggestions... i will put a list of boxes i have to choose from with the prices...thanks

I need to start shopping at your lcs. Mine charges way more than that for those boxes. I've bought a lot of 2010 Certified and have been generally happy. I bought one plates and patches and wasn't too impressed.

yeah, i heard plates and patches wasnt that impressivce and neither was triple threads

BEST SHOT AT GETTING YOUR MONEYS WORTH WOULD DEFINATELY BE CONTENDERS BUT THERE ARE NO PATCHES SO YOU MAY NOT WANNA GO THAT ROUTE. IF YOU WANT NICE PATCHES YOU SHOULD GO WITH THE EXQUISITE OR CERTIFIED. TRIBUTE HAS PRETTY MUCH ALL 1 COLOR JSY'S AND 09 IMO WAS A BETTER DRAFT CLASS SO WOULD PROBABLY BE BETTER OFF WITH ONE OF THOSE PRODUCTS. ABSOLUTE DOESNT BOOK VERY WELL AND YOU HAVE VERTUALLY NO CHANCE OF TURNING THE MONEY SPENT ON THOSE INTO MUCH EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE IMO SOME OF THE BESTLOOKING CARDS.

if your looking for nice patches and autos you could get a couple boxes of 2010 absolute! but thats not on your list. limited has a good chance of nice stuff and is relatively cheap at your shop. stay away from plates and patches,contenders dont have game used cards, and triple threads is a huge risk. good luck!

yeah...he also has supreme for $135 and 2010 absolute for the sam proce...i heard supreme is doing very good...

i did real well with m,y supreme break clausen golden tate duel auto patch 2/5
