Some of you may have seen my pickup thread, where I purchase cards for usually about $20. I've been on a tight budget lately, and it's time to show off why.

Starting this year I've begun building the "Top 250 Sports Cards" as defined by Joe Orlando is an excellent book, which is definitely worth a read.

In January I picked up a 1956 Topps Mickey Mantle, which I shared with you folks on the boards already.

These are the cards I picked up for February and March respectively. I already have an idea of what I want in April. Enjoy! Smile

This is the one I got for February.

Nice set to put together, but I believe it is called "The top 200 cards I cannot afford".
Great cards but way above what I can afford. Congrats and good luck with the collection

I figure it was too soon to go to the second page for this one. These are better than any modern day anything IMO. Love the Reese, my favorite card ever made and a proud owner of one as of about a month and a half ago. I'm trying to get a fire under my, well you know, so I can sell more off and get the next card I want.

I remember seeing this list somewhere and if I remember correctly, it was a book right? If not, could you point me to a web site that has this list you're going off of?

BTW-GREAT CARDS!!
I agree.

Love to see great vintage posted on here. Brings a little something different to this site if you know what I mean.

Love that Gehrig, can't quite get ahold of a 3 yet, but I was pretty close to pulling the trigger on a real nice looking PSA 1.

AWSOME CARDS!
