Married for 5 years and I'm pretty sure my wife could care less if I did end up taking part in it.

As someone just stated, it's no more childish than collecting pieces of cardboard with baseball players on it. There are lots of things adults do that are childish and I could probably create a pretty lengthy list of them. I stated earlier that it was kind of corny but I think it's actually a neat little thing the community on this board could take part in together. No harm in that.
My silly little pieces of cardboard hold more value than anything my wife buys.

I think since it has N.J. on it already, why not do it.

I think maybe it should just get sent along without using the trade system. Who knows, someone might just say "It's not the card I was supposed to recieve...it has writing all over it.." lol

Can't we just PM the address?

Should start a thread and for the ones who want to participate, the card will be sent out in order in which they posted on the new thread.

For instance:

I posted "send to me next" on the New Thread. The person before me will send it to me once he recieves it and initials it, then when I get it, initial it and send it to the next person who posted right after me and so on...in order, all the way down the line.

Maybe even scan the card and post it in that thread to show it off.

Sounds like this coould be cool and interesting.

Good idea?

Childish? You are anonymously calling people childish on a sports card message board. Think about that sentence for a moment.

My girlfriend could honestly care less what I do, just as long as I invest time into her too. It's about having fun. Sports cards are, for most people, a diversion from their everyday life. For a lot of us, it hearkens back to a simpler time. Personally, i've been collecting since I was 6. That means i've been collecting on and off for 20 years.
If you consider this childish, thats fine. I think it's fun. I'm in Chicago on a regular basis anyway. I can snap pictures of the card without any real time taken out of my day. The card can even go out drinking in the city with me and my girlfriend!
