My son thinks mine looks almost has good. He is already asking about what I'll buy for him when I sell it.
I gotta be honest, I didn't think it would sell for that much, I don't think it looked that nice.
Pretty cool the first buyer flipped it for a quick 12k profit though.
I saw this on the Blow Out card forum and figured this is where it should be posted as well for Beckett forum readers should anyone consider bidding on this card which is a totally FAKE 1984 Star XRC Jordan rookie, up on eBay now ending tomorrow.
http://www.blowoutcards.com/forums/baske...n-xrc.html direct eBay link below. Zero-feedback high bidder, PRO holder and a LOL disclaimer - all major flags. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1985-Star-Michae...rmvSB=true

The only difference is that it was a 9.5 last time. I guess its not as bad as the "Beckett" graded cards in screwdowns and a fake BGS sticker.
There is one grading company out there (I forget the name) that has a do-it-yourself kit!:O

Collectors should know by now that PRO is or was someone slabbing their cards in their basement...+ 1 Yes, like BGS, the "old" GAI were also trained by industry expert Steve Taft to "authenticate" Star cards. The main knock on those GAI graded Star cards is the "grading" as many tend to be overgraded. I should also add SCD which - when they were operational and trained by Taft - did a solid job in both, authenticating and grading of Star cards as well. It's funny that people were willing to shell out $800+ for a pretty obvious fake with an ad that screams fake.
Wow, I didn't realize bgs 8's were selling that high, I picked mine up almost a year and a half ago for $1600. I got a good deal but didn't think they would appreciate this fast.
