Motown Madness Show Breaks

Motown Madness Show Breaks
Hello All,

Busted 20 boxes at the Gibraltar Show this past weekend. I am only going to post the some of the GU'd and my top 5.

First up the Patches - The Probert Gold Version is #'d to 1

The Quads - Gold Quad #'d to 10 with the show stamp 1/1

Battle for the Cup and Equipment Room GU'd. The Osgood piece is one of my favorites.

And now for my top 5!

This is #5 even though it is a 1/1 and the reason is I have not heard of this player.

At #4 is another 1/1 only because I am not fond of the way the Nameplates are done.

The next 2 are interchangeable for the ranking

Now why would a card #'d to 10 be #1 over (2) 1/1's. I will let the picture do the talking!

Comments are welcomed. Thanks for the look!

Simply amazing breaks, Mark! Huge congrats on snaring so many brilliant cards!!! Why would the Yzerman Signature be called "Boardmarks?" Is that a piece of book that he signed? Haha! Brilliant show!

I'm thinking boardmarks means clipboard? Dry erase board? No way they use a piece of the boards from around Joe Louis.

I agree about the nameplate. Use the full size of the card to show the letter otherwise it looks like another GU piece. Great breaks though thanks for sharing.

No it is a keeper for now. I did not see you at the show did you attend? I brought the Hull Battle of Alberta card with me to trade you.

In regards to the Darren Helm card, and the unusual nameplate, it's possible that it's from the preseason. Over the years Detroit has used a different-style nameplate than the regular season, and the lettering is the dead giveaway.

Hope this helps.

My card indicated Joe Louis. I think the older players are on the other.

I grew up loving Tim, but i never actually considered collecting him, well, i dont know why. I guess there's too many PC's and i don't want to get involved, But now that you mention it....I have an autographed puck of timmy that would look great with some autos and cards to go around....
