Chaulk up 2 More!!
Chaulk up 2 More!!
With Vitale cards starting to slow down.....ive been able to pick up some more acquisitions for my ever-growing game worn collection.
The first is one of the coolest hockey names...ever. I have been wanting to add one with this patch but havent been able to find many.
The Penguins wore the All-Star patch during the 1989-90 season and had ordered a new set of home and road jerseys for the playoffs. However, the shirts went unused after the team narrowly missed the playoffs that year. The Pens then began the 1990-91 season wearing those left-over shirts with the All-Star patch. After the Pens wore the shirts throughout the preseason and for the first 10 games of the regular season, the Chicago Blackhawks filed a formal complaint with the league, since they were hosting the 42nd NHL All-Star game that was to take place that year. The league sided with the Blackhawks, and the Pens were forced to switch to a new set of jerseys without the patch.
1990-91 Zarley Zalapski ROAD

This next jersey is one I wanted ever since I saw it. It is a pretty cool collector piece. Growing up I was a big Marty McSorley fan and enjoyed watching his bouts.....
McSorleys orig number was #4....and it was removed (damaging the jsy) and changed to #44 for Rob Brown.
1987-88 Rob Brown ROAD (Rookie & Recycled 83-84 Marty McSorley -2nd NHL yr)
I was able to get a copy of the picture of McSorley wearing it a while back and was even luckier to get him to sign it.

Thanks for the look.....I have 3 more jerseys in the works.......I cant wait to show them off.
