Bowman Sterling: Why beat around the bush ? Luck Griffin Dual AU
Bowman Sterling: Why beat around the bush ? Luck Griffin Dual AU
Stopped by two locals today to pick up some supplies and looking for Golden Age of Baseball.
While at store one after picking up some baseball and holders the owner kept telling me how great Bowman Sterling had been.
Topps has been BAD for me this year. Broyles, Graham, Joe Adams, Greg Childs and Egnew product after product so I was not going to buy anymore Topps for 2012 season. Enough is enough!@!
But, basically got talked into a pack @$64. which was a little high in price
Well, I lucked out and didn't hit the players above. Worse, Offensive lineman auto which was offensive for the money laid out, but that is the gamble in wax. I fully understand win some / lose some in was busting.
Hits:
Game Used
The Auto
I was then off to see some friends at local number two. Got there and they only had eight packs of Golden Age of Baseball in stock so I bought those and had money left over.
Same story, owner said Bowman Sterling had been a big seller. Nothing great had come out but some nice cards. Said a guy had just left after buying five boxes and three of the packs from the box sitting on the shelf.
Heck, I am a sucker, lets' try one more pack, hoping I would not pull another lineman or the player that haunt me.
Rip into the middle pack of the three on shelf and who is the back game used card
Yes, another Greg Childs
I am thinking another bad pack for sure.
Flip over the pack and I see there is a refractor in the pack
Rookie Refractor of some guy name Mathews #33/50
But this card was behind the refractor.
#13/15 Prism Refractor
Andrew Luck / Robert Griffin III
Pretty good way to end my card buying for 2012
