My 1000 Card Club
Just checking my ORG and I have 24 players that I have at least 1000 different cards of. Five more players within 100 cards of joining the club. these are just cards listed in Beckett, for example I have over 50 Mantle cards that are not listed in the Beckett database. Anyone else have a 1000 Card Club?

RE: My 1000 Card Club
I have over 40,000 cards total. I'll have to look to see if I have 1000 of a player. Too much of a cheapskate to buy Organize

RE: My 1000 Card Club
I collect Hall of Famers and potential Hall of Famers. Most of the non-HOF players on that list had potential before the steroid scandal. Plus I started collecting in 1970 so I had a good headstart on a lot of the folks on these boards.

I have 35,000+ cards, and I knew without even looking that I did not have 1,000 of any one player. Once I checked, I saw that my two largest HOF player collections (Jordan and Sandberg) do not even total 1,000 cards combined! I look for HOF Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, and Cubs. Add in a few personal favorites I collect from each team, and everything else in my collection is up for trade. |
