Nothing against Randi here, IMHO I think he is one of the better members on the site, however, you guys should feel lucky, that there is really no need for a full time MOD on the hockey boards, or on any of the other boards as well.

All a MOD is, is a babysitter for those so called adults that act like 5 yr old children on a message board in Fantasy Land, and for the past few months now, all I have seen on the hockey boards is grown adults acting like grown adults, with the occasional "child" sneaking in and violating the rules, when that happens, they pretty well get put in their place by the respected members here.

If you look at the forums as a whole, ever since Beckett's started enforcing the 18 or older to be a member rule, the boards have been pretty clean, with out the MODS having to step in and slap wrists, like they used too when the kiddies were allowed to post etc...

all a Mod does, is edit or remove any inappropriate posts ,threads, etc.... and babysit the adult children that we get occasionally, they ARE NOT allowed to get involved in trade disputes other than sending the parties a PM asking what is going on, when they are sending their end, etc....., and requesting the offender be banned, suspended, msf, ETC.... That is all they are allowed to do here, and on any other trade site, despite what that site might claim......

Besides, Randi deserves better than being an un-paid babysitter for adult children in Fantasy Land, don't ya think?

MOD's are also (usually) the unofficial link between board posters and site Admin. Frankly, Modding this board would be the easiest MOD job I've ever had.

Not sure where you get your info from but not quite true-I can ban you right now to prove it to you if you like, lol
Only way you would know exactly what each mod does here is if you were on the team. I get satisfaction from getting some members their cards back from bad trades, Thats all I will say about that issue.
Mods are recruited as needed, we do not have a application process nor advertise for one when we feel we need to add a mod. Randi is def a good choice no doubt and we will keep him in mind for sure.

Despite it being a non-paid position, which I didnt think it was anyway.....I do think a MOD is needed here and there to enforce some of the board rules....Randi would be an excellent choice and is respected by all the members on the hockey board....

So when the time or position presents its self....PLEASE KEEP HIM IN MIND.
