Hi guys

I need your opinions on a card from the 2010-11 Upper Deck French Buybacks. I find an auction from a guy who is offering a 40 card lot at the bay: http://www.cafr.ebay.ca/itm/ws/eBayISAPI...TQ:CA:1123

I only need that Momesso card for my PC. I contacted the seller asking him if he would sell me the Momesso. He offered me that card for $35 + $9.50 shipping to Germany. What are you thinking about it?

Momesso was a longtime NHL player but not a superstar. $35 seems a little bit to high for a player like Momesso.

I would personally not pay it, but I am not collecting him. Maybe see if there are others that have sold on eBay and offer a price comparative to that. If not, then offer what you are comfortable with. Hope that you can land it for a good price!

That was my thought too Randi. I have seen similar cards that are offered for $5 buy it now or $9.99 opening bid. I only need a few card from Momesso to complete one PC...and the buyback is a bid need.

If there are no bids I would counter with a $8.00 offer. If you divide the $325 by 40 that is what they come out to.

I'm a Momesso fan and I wouldn't pay that. MQ13's idea seems pretty fair. I'm sure you can get it for way less.

his price is a bit high as for my french buybacks, I have paid between $2.00 to $30 for the ones I have

and I been outbid on 1 player 3 times too.... each time the card went up

Thanks for the heads up guys. I told the seller that I´m not willing to spend that much. Maybe he lowers the price or I will wait if another card will show up.

As someone above said, you have all the leverage when you speak to the seller because if you don't get it from him, we'll all look out for your card until you land it...and I'm pretty sure no one here will charge $40 for it.
