As we all know, the Flyers traded JVR to the Leafs for Luke Schenn. Unfortunately, I've decided that I will no longer pursue van Riemsdyk as a collection centerpiece

I will miss JVR in the orange and black and I hope he succeeds in Toronto. That being said, I believe the trade was a great hockey move and I look forward to seeing what Luke Schenn can do.

No clue. I'm thinking about collecting another Flyer (Briere, Bryz, Schenn(s), Couts) or maybe going after an up and comer from somewhere else. I might just focus on Giroux though.

That sucks that you are losing a PC player to a trade, but hopefully the deal will work for your team. Where one collection ends another begins.

Why do people stop collecting when someone gets traded? It's nothing against you Nick but I've seen other people do it as well. Yip got claimed off waivers by another team, but I'm still collecting him.

If I was just doing a player collection I'd keep collecting Jordan Staal...but I collect Current Pens right now...Though I can maybe see an argument for collecting All staal's up to 2011-12(in my case). Unfortunately I am not that organized currently. Funny thing is if I collect Sutter it probably won't be till he has PEns uniform stuff.

this is why i try and stay away from collecting players on my favorite team (habs)...when they get traded or sign somewhere else i tend to stop collecting them....

its also why i've been debating whether to stop collecting Subban and Price....honestly Crosby and RNH are more than keeping me busy enough

If I were you arock99 I would not stop collecting Price and Subban they are going to win the Cup this up and coming season...lol...Go Hab's Go!!!!

My Ron Hextall collection includes any (hopefully all someday) of his Flyers, Nordiques and Islanders cards. The Islanders card were tough to swallow. If they made an LA Kings Assistant GM card of Ron with The Cup, I would get it in a heartbeat.
