3 Packs of BTP's

Their are a lot more things that do, like fake cards, theifs as shows, outragous prices, ebay fees, resealing packs, unredeemed redemptions, horrible customer service. The list goes on. You asked why I did it? Well its simple, and as I stated, sometimes I like to make up for dud boxes that I have bought. As for the that making kids disinterested, I dont agree. When I was little it was base cards and some overproduced inserts. It was nothing special. The excitment was just looking at a players card up close & reading it and that kept me interested reguardless of what came out of the pack. Its not stealing, its not producing fakes, its not illegal and its also not something that many shops allow, but I do understand why some frown apon it, its not something that really bothers me because I perfer buying boxes anyway. If the cards are behind the counter & I want a pack then I will still buy as well.
I agree that there are other things out there that have others getting away from the hobby...high prices, fake cards, etc....I know a few people myself that got out of the hobby. We all get dud boxes....just look at the pulls from boxes on here that people complain about...it's the chance you take (some good and some bad boxes) but to me it's no excuse to go and search packs because you paid and got a dud box. No one is twisting your arm to spend the money and buy the boxes right? As for the kids....do you have kids that collect? Back in the day we didn't have all the jerseys, auto's, game used, like we do today. Kids see what others get nowadays and ask why they don't ever get the "good cards". It isn't easy to explain to a child the whole pack searching thing as they don't understand and I won't search and set a poor example. Kids have limited money from allowances, paper routes, odd jobs, etc and yes they want what other kids have, whether it's a bike, video game, etc. Kids cannot afford the boxes (some of us can't always either) thus finding a jersey or an auto with the little money they do get puts a smile on their face. I, for one, would rather pay the couple extra bucks out of my pocket and buy a jersey card for my child rather than spend $$, get nothing, and have a child get upset. Yes, I do buy boxes as well, get dud boxes, but I have also got my share of boxes that were excellent...but I don't return cards/packs because they were that good. Just saying....to each their own, I am not here to judge, but there are issues that are hurting the hobby and I believe this is a portion of it. It isn't just the kids that aren't getting these items but the adults as well....why spend my hard earned money and get something that was searched? I am ok with buying packs that haven't been searched and getting very little as I know it is a chance I took....

Add yourself to the list my friend. Just because there are other things wrong with the hobby, doesn't give anyone the right to be dishonest.

The Hobby store I go to would have kicked you out and said never come back. Can you name this place so everyone on here can save their money. Allowing pack searching is just as bad as doing it. Wrong place to show off man, next time keep it to yourself... selfish.

Nothing dishonest about it, and nothing "THIEF" about it. Nothing was stolen here. There was no lie here to make it dishonest, unlike some people who do it, but go with the flow and preach bein against it. Nothing "THEIF" as money was paid for the packs.

Ok, so what about the people who buy from that box after you? Aren't they entitled to the same chance that you were given? After all they did spend the same amount of money for a shot at an auto/relic.

RE: 3 Packs of BTP's
pack searching is consumer fraud. or, of you are damaging cards (like most pack searchers), that is property damage

either way, if you pack search, that action is scummy. or, let's be blunt:

Ya know I really dont want to get into a whole back & forth about doing it, But this can be spun many ways into many of lifes actions for those who claim to be the most honest fair chance people in the world. So let me ask you this, when you eat meat, do you give the animal that was killed a weapon before it was slaughtered so that it has a fair chance? When you speed in your car, do you give everyone on the road a warning so that they have a fair chance to get outa the way when ya hit something? When you meet an atheist or agnostic do you give them a fair chance to explain why they dont belive in God, or just rant at them for not sharing your beliefs? Have you ever had a beer and gotten behind the wheel (dont even lie and say no) did you again, warn everyone around you so they had a fair chance to get off the road? Whn your at a casino and dump 100s into a slot, get up and someone sits down and wins the next spin, do you yell at them cause that was your money & its not fair that they only put in $1? I can play devils advocate with many more situations about "fair chance" and more often then not you and many others will fall into the category of a person not giving a "fair chance". Basically it comes down to if you see a problem with it and I really dont. Im not going through every single box in every store with scales to make a profit by listing everything & selling everything. It doesnt keep me from spending money on the hobby either wether someone does it or not, cause I like buying cards and will keep doing so.
As for the name calling guy, again I will play devils advocate on you. While you call names etc and say how its hard explaining to a kid why another kid gets something they didnt. When your kid goes on a name calling tirad and gets into trouble at school for it and you explain how its wrong to do that and he/she shouldnt, then your kid goes on a forum and sees daddy doing the same thing. How do you explain to him that its not ok for him to call people names, but your allowed to on here?
As for consumer fraud that was stated. Nothing is being damaged, you can place the packs in my hand and I can tell the weight difference just by holding them. So maybe I just shouldnt touch a pack of cards anymore?
So with that, Im done posting about topic, and anyone who doesnt want to trade with me, because occasionally I do it, thats ok. Its your choice and I have nothing against that.

If you read my post correctly there was not one time I used any name calling...gotta get your facts straight. As for your posts...you are trying to make excuses for what you know is wrong. As for your examples...lol...if I were in a casino and someone sat down and won I would congratulate them as I am not owed anything because I walked away, it's the chance I took spending my money (kinda like buying boxes and it being a dud). Some of us do have morals and know what is right and wrong....we all make mistakes but we learn from them and don't keep doing it over and over because we think we are owed something. Just saying....I feel much better knowing I can go out and buy what I want (packs, singles, boxes) and not having to search packs and screw others who should have the same odds of pulling something as I do. It is fraud as I have seen 2 people arrested for doing it....what comes around goes around and in the end it's people that do these things that get burned....
