RE: About the BGS boxes
I actually just did and was about to post about it.
But do you see any reason in this thread so far that would make me believe someone is going to get back to me? |

RE: About the BGS boxes
Call attempt to J. Murray #7:
9:49am - Phone rung until voicemail, left a message roughly like this: Hi Jeremy my name is ____ and my phone number is ___, and I've had a long-running problem that dates back to the middle of July or so. I've made many many calls to try to fix this problem and so far the experience has been rather atrocious. I'd like a call back regarding this problem instead of just being handed off to someone else or have someone tell me they have no information. I'll be expecting a call by 12:00pm Pacific which is 2 hours and 10 minutes from now, if not I will continue to call you guys as I have been until the problem is fixed. Thanks and goodbye. |

RE: About the BGS boxes
11:56am PST
Jeromy Murray (Operations Manager) calls me! WOO! Holy crap a callback! After clarifying my account information and all that, he said there were 3 orders in my account history, which is accurate. I pointed at the the second order is the one in question, and that he should see that I ordered and paid for 2 of the BGS Graded Storage boxes. He said that he saw that. I mentioned that the previous person I was speaking to said they had no record of that (hence my pics earlier in this thread). With that out in the air, I told him, "Ya, I still haven't got those boxes". He sounded surprised, and was wondering out loud why that problem hadn't been fixed immediately. I don't know if it was just for show but it sounded legitimate. Hell, I'm honestly surprised it's taken this long as well. I recapped my problem with him. Not knowing how they were sent, e-mailing Joe Clemons (who stopped responding), e-mailing grading@beckett.com (who never responded), speaking to the first rep (who said she'd check within the department and when they got back to her she would get back to me, who stopped responding) and the second rep (who said there was no record of me paying for the boxes). I also mentioned how Joe Clemons offered me a deal/price break and then stopped responding to me. I think that's probably the worst part in all of this. To offer something in restitution and then re-neg on it, you're awful Joe Clemons. Hopefully this will be a lesson to future BGS-using members to not accept a deal from him or to think something will be done just because he says so. It'd be more beneficial and efficient for everyone involved to look elsewhere (J. Murray). After letting me go on telling my story, he still sounded surprised and he asked me if a "couple extra boxes" would help make things right. I said it would certainly be appreciated because since this fiasco has started I have done nothing but give Beckett bad publicity. He also sent me an e-mail apologizing for the "mess" (his word, quotes and all) again and leaving his contact info. He said the boxes were going to be sent out today via FedEx. I'm not sure which type of FedEx, I assume ground. I'll be expecting those by maybe the 28th (I don't know the ins and outs of when FedEx does/doesn't move) but I'll be giving it until the 31st before my next call, if it's necessary. Overall Jeromy seemed to do pretty good handling the customer service, I just wish the same could be said for his underlings and Joe Clemons. So stay tuned forum fans! Hopefully my next post will have pictures of my hard-earned boxes. |

RE: About the BGS boxes
Wow I feel bad this happened to you and the lack of responsibility from beckett is kind of expected.
What's even more sad is, you're going to be more disappointed that you waited all this time for cheap quality boxes. I have a couple of these beckett boxes and let me tell you they are nothing to brag about. They are made from thin cardboard (like the ones used to box cheap sneakers). Small amounts of water can basically soaks through it. Also the color fades really quick, even when not in direct sunlight (don't know why is that). When I fill up the box with graded bgs cards, it feels like the box is about to rip apart because it can't handle all the weight. The only nice part of these boxes is the beckett logo on top, lol. I have a very rare michael jordan card signed by john salley!!! |

However, those are only the regular size cards. Thick graded GU cards will probably fit less in the beckett boxes. I have a very rare michael jordan card signed by john salley!!! |

I figured out if you line them up in a row, then it works much better. ![]() Special Props to pyr0punk for this Amazing & Killer Banner!! |

RE: About the BGS boxes
Got my boxes today finally.
I don't want to sound like I'm just constantly complaining, but when I agreed to the "couple extra boxes" to "help make things right" I kind of thought he at least meant two - ya know, a "couple". Nope. One free box. One $4.99 box, free of charge. Not even going to bother recapping anything beyond this: 07/11/2011 - BGS marks my order (with the boxes) as received. 10/26/2011 - I receive my boxes plus an additional one for my hassle. == 107 Days. Well done Beckett. Well done. (That number includes all weekends of course) This thread is long and entertaining enough as it is. Final verdict: NEVER EVER attempt to buy graded storage boxes from Beckett. The customer service is on par with speaking to a 19 year old McDonald's manager (J. Murray was good to talk to), and the in-house communication reminds me of those old electric football games you plug in and the players just skip around all crazy. "Cheers", Adam |
