So, power went out yesterday so we went out to get some food to eat. Wanted Pizza, stopped at the Little Ceaser's in K-Mart to eat since it had an eating area. Well, convinced the wive to let me get something to pass the time, had her pick out a pack and pick me a pack. The packs guaranteed 14 rookies and 4 packs of cards. It also guaranteed that there would be rookies of Oden, Durant and Horford. Blah, I should have known better.

The guaranteed rookies weren't actually rookies, but rookie year cards. Each of our packs had the complete 2007-08 Topps Rookie Set (White Border) in them. That kind of upset me but when I thought about it, at least I could use the Durants for trade bait. So, here's how my wife and I did.

Yeah, I got the higher value hit, but overall, I'd rather have opened up hers. All are for trade except for the Taurean, it's a set filler (also got two other set fillers).

lol. I didn't even think about it. Mind you, they had other variety packs, 3 packs of cards and one GU for $7.99. lol. What a rip. Well, one of them was ripped and when I looked inside, someone took a pack and left the GU in there. 2003-04 Black Diamond Game Jersey of Kenyon Martin. I ALMOST thought about swiping it, but didn't want bad karma.

I actually saw a few of those in the bargain bin not too long ago at $3.99. Picked them up at that price. Got a Ray Allen and a dual Magette/Brand. Dont remember what the packs were but didnt think that was terrible for $4, not for $8.

Cool man. What other color variations were there for the rookie set? I've got the orange version and now (from you) the white version. Are there any other variations?

I got suckered in and bought one of those awhile back as well. Still decent value on the Durant though, worth picking one up in hopes of a hit in the enclosed packs.
