Does it bother anyone else when someone charges like $10 for shipping on just one or two cards? Just needed to vent a little bit

I hate it! Or when a seller charges me 4 bucks for shipping but doesn't send it first class (for one card) and I have to wait over 2 weeks to receive the card? Come on! Yea, $10 seems like a lot for shipping for just a couple of cards.

I can't exactly provide my specific example...it'd probably show that I have a vendetta haha. I wouldn't go that far, but still, the example I'm thinking of still pisses me off to this day(that's enough venting for now haha)

It's ok, right now on the bay I purchased an auto card (and its a mini one too) and the shipping for it was 5.20 for "expedited shipping" ...needless to say someone will probably NOT get all five stars at the end of this transaction Positive yes, but I'm highly doubting it cost him 5.20 to ship this one TINY (ultra tiny) miniature card lol

unless they ship it priority, which will cost a minimum of $4.95, if not more

lol! It happens...that bites...here is what happened to me...won these auctions: won 6 auctions for a total of 5.94...plus total shipping of 19.24...apparently the seller does not offer combined shipping...grrrrr...that is what I get for overlooking that...3 items had 3.00 S/H, 1 item 2.99 S/H, 1 item 3.75 S/H and the last item 3.50 S/H...yet when I received the cards...all neatly shipped in top loaders without except for 1 item on a penny sleeve, and 2 without penny sleeves...now that bites...damaged one of the cards trying to unwrapped all the tape it was wrapped in...GRRRRRR!!! Guess I wont be bidding on his items anymore...

I read the postage carefully on the auction and then send a message abotu combined shipping if a question.
Say a person has 3 cards I am looking at and they end 18 hours apart..that is noon Tues, Late Tues evening and Wed noon. (Postage is $3 ea) Bidding at $1.99-$3.09
I send a message about what happens if I win all 3 cards

1. They do not respond = no bids from me...
2. They do not combine unless auctions are won same day, yet their auction are spread over several days = no bid
3. They combine and hold for a day = bids

I have won 4 auctions for $7 and paid $18 for shipping..Never again..these are all for the PC...I can wait it out..

So, I send a message and go from there..

Now..single cards with postage over $2.50-$3.00 I do not bid..
I ship 100s of cards a month and now the costs with DC and insurance and costs of materials..I do not give them the profit margin using postage if at all possible.

i work their postage cost into whether I'm bidding or not....if its a good deal with postage considered I'll still go for it..... if it would be a good deal with a reasonable shipping? then i pass

i have flag up given up questioning high shipping price with sellers the responses back and them screaming at me was too much too bare. between ebay, amazon, and our webstore I use to ship out somewhere between 100-300 packages a week when we were busy and almost all of them fell into the trading/selling/shipping card weights for packages (records, cds, t-shirts, cassettes) so pretty much everything 2oz-10oz unless they were combined orders. I hate gutting people for our shipping costs and even on ebay continue to knock money off if it is cheaper to ship. always have, always will. just wish other sellers would do the same.

I agree..if a card is $8-20 and I am willing to spend $8 on it and the card goes for $4 card and $4 shipping, then I can get it as it is within the $8 I will spend on the card...so my max bid has the shipping factored in.

I never message about the shipping costs, it just gets people upset, I message about combo shipping, and I still get yelled at occasionally.

Gutting people for shipping or hoping they do not read the "fine print" on shipping is awful, but unfortunately, some people are creeps...
