What do u think about Dale Earnhardt Sr. being inducted into the Hall of Fame?
He is a legend and deserved it he was the face of the sport for years
no brainer pick..

The Intimidator not in the Inaugural Class would have been a disgrace.  He was the face of NASCAR and helped make it what it is today.

Bill Jr. should have headlined the Class of 2011 and the Silver Fox should have gotten his spot.
You knew it was going to happen. What should have happened also is David Pearson deserved it more than a couple of them.

David had a better average starting and finishing postion than both Sr and Petty>
David is second in wins yet 20th in starts
David had many more wins than sr with fewere starts.
David won 75 percent of the championships he ran for. One season he won 18.
David has an unreal number of poles.
Richard raced them both and still says David Pearson is the best he ever raced against.
David won more races than petty when they finished 1-2.
David was the first in his family to do this. He wasnt a second generation driver so he didnt start off with the knowledge etc that the other two did.

Junior Johnson isnt in the top 5 of drivers nor is he the best owner there was. If you took out his blatant cheating he would have won less. He shouldnt have been in this year. I do give him this he was great and a great assett to nascar but shouldnt have beat out pearson.

Bill France Jr gets credit for a lot of things that other people did. Winston into NASCAR was started by junior johnson not the oh great one france jr. Getting NASCAR on tv live was started with ken squire who fought to get the daytona 500 on live. Then helped out by a snow storm on the east coast followed by the allison yarborough brawl. The points system wasnt even his someone else came up with it [it should still be that way imho] So no he shouldnt have been in over pearson either.

I think the first class should have been all drivers. One from each decade for the first 5 decades. Yes the france family helped form nascar with a lot of help from other people. If it wasnt for the drivers it wouldnt matter. I think the voting process should be by secret ballot and not discussed in a room, where people can have their minds changed by whatever.

NASCAR is owned by the france family and who picked the ones who would get to vote.
Look at the nominating committe/and the rest of the voting panel then tell me how both frances couldnt have gotten voted in.

Even Petty said someone wins 105 races and doesnt get in somebody didnt add right.
