we have had several traders who are bad news nelly is the latest while i have my own way to protect myself from his inevitable return under a new i.d i cant post it because then it wont work.
many people dont trade because of people like nelly. many new people get taken by members like nelly
my list and point system idea was a way to weed out the nellys, put new members at ease and better our community
i am not elitist and would not put work and effort into something that noone wanted

after some thought instead of a list i will post a "what makes a great trader thread"

instead of looking for a name on a list, traders can do their own research to determine who is a safer trade.

if i use the information gathered from my prev thread then those parameters would be:

50+ trades
member 6 months +
feed back no neg no neutrals 4.9 or better
post count..... the only reason i include post count is because it shows a persons interest in what goes on around here. if i use myself as an example,  i have made an investment here and others like myself with post counts higher than 500 have made the same investment. i have and more than likely those with higher post counts have helped members in a good portion of those posts.post count should count for something.

ofcourse no standard is fool proof but every member who has gone bad that i have seen does not meet these standards.

so once again I AM NOT DOING A POINT SYSTEM. i am soliciting your thoughts/feed back on my thoughts on what to look for  when you assess a new trade partner

better idea, but i think we should have a prefered trader list so that new traders cna get their first trade donw with a trusted trader, and feel a lot more safe about ending first

if members do a little h.w based on the few guidelines provided "preferred traders" as you call them will standout like diamonds in a bowl of cheerios.

lol
I only care about a high feedback rating, 15-20 or more trades and looking at WHO they have traded with and if I know some of them. I could care less about posts and length of membership. Just my opinion.
post count is hard though i have been around for a while and had about 1500 posts before beckett switched to this new website...I think you have good ideas though
Tony,  I think the 50+ trades, 4.9+ feedback, and length of membership are the most important factors in this.  I think this is a great idea, especially for new traders just getting started.   Thanks for your work on this.
