MAILCALL
Monty sent me a handful of great cards. First off is a Kenny Lofton 2004 Donruss Press Proof #'d to 100 for Dawn, and let me tell you, she will love it! Next three 2007 Topps Opening Day Gold parallels of Grady Sizemore, Travis Hafner, and Jake Westbrook. There was also a handful of Albert Belle's and 1992 Select. Thanks Monty! You have a large stack of Piazza's coming your way!
Good to see you post Robb! Hope all is well

hey everyone,
I am new to the christmas in july and have a few questions
1. Is it $20 BV or $20 ebay value?
2. When are we supposed to have the packages out in the mail by? is there a specific dat to shoot for?
3. If my assumptions are correct, we just leave the mailer completely anonymous?
thanks
Billy

Billy,
I will answer your questions based on what I believe.
1. $20 BV is the agreement. Judging by the posts I saw last time, this is normally exceeded. That is just the nature of the group.
2. It should be mailed some time in July. When you mail it, send Tony Gillen a PM or email. He is tracking it so no one gets missed!
3. I try and send the mailers anonymously. It can be tough though as I am the only TC from CT! The postmark can be a dead give away!
Hope this helps!

MAILDAY!
Tony G. came through in a HUGE way today. I came home to find this massive box in my porch filled with Twins cards. 2008 stuff through 1970s stuff. I have barely started going through it, but it is utterly amazing! Scan:

Little bump. Taking a break from watching the Celtics pound on the Lakers tonight! Woo hoo! Another title for the Beantown! Sorry James T.
My son's Babe Ruth team won our opening playoff game tonight, 5-3. We move to the quarter finals on Friday. My softball team won 11-5. It moves our record to 12-1 on the season. I have only played in six of the games due to my coaching commitment, but I still have fun playing when I can get there. They put me in my usual spot of batting 4th and playing SS.
Back to the game. Talk with you all in the morning!

Well at least that wasnt embarassing or anything!! Congrats Wayne! I am happy for alot of the Celtics...Pierce, Garnett, Ray Allen, seem like pretty good guys...honestly, I am still happy with the Lakers overall this year, considering the star player was demanding a trade about a year ago, and the front office was in turmoil...but I could have lived without being embarrased in the closeout game!
Time for me to go shopping for you Wayne! Would you prefer something of the Red Sox, or I have seen some pretty cool Celtics items lately...
James,
Thanks for being a good sport! I will leave it up to you. While I am not a collector of basketball, I am sure my son would love something in Green! What ever you decide upon, I am sure it will be a nice addition to our collection.
