Ouch, no fun at all...

Wayne.. I can't believe the way Boston came back last night. I'm glad to see that in a team, "the fight and heart" I love the Pistons, but just don't see it in them come lpayoff time.

Mike, yeah we do "bagel friday" and know the feeling. If I'm in after 9:00 I'm pretty much SOL. What do you think about Joba switching to starting? I have mixed feelings just because I think he would've been the perfect eventual replacement for Mo and who else would you rather have a kid learn from? I don't think they should try to put too much pressure on a kid with a talented arm like that, which I believe they are doing by switching him midseason and having such high expectations... He did start in the minors though, right?

Ugghhh.. I'm trying to find an update on Hudson.. Pitched beautifully 6.2 innings 1ER, and got another no decision. I swear he is the king of no decisions. He had to be taken out because of extreme dehydration and I haven't seen an update yet. Our blowpen, well blows. I'm begining to think that if we don't turn this around, we might become "sellers" for once come July

I am real iffy about this move as it really weakens our pen. Hawkins isn't doing the job and I detest Farnsworth-less. Although he did start in the minors, I really thought he was the perfect replacement to Mariano once he retires. With the way Rivera is going, that may not be for another couple of years though. Lets see how Joba does by the All-Star break and I can give a better assestment then.

I am feeling pretty good about our bet this morning. Big Grin That was a great comeback by the Celtics last night. Posey and House played key roles. Ray Allen was very good again. Lakers can not be happy with the biggest collapse in a long time during the finals. It isn't over to the Celts get that final win, but I find it hard to believe that the Celtics will lose 3 in a row with two of the games at home.

You may be hesitant to say its over (and I get that, I never want to say its over when my team is in that position), but I will say it for you, this series is O-V-E-R...we are done....DUN (as Rome likes to say), DONE!! I am not sure you guys even see this series again in Boston...

Hey, do you collect exclusively baseball, or would you enjoy something Celtics?

Hey guys, sorry again for the bad break. I went through half of the boxes today and still no base auto's. Topps website says you get 1 per HTA box. We were also shorted a chrome auto. Topps will be hearing from me and I will let you all know what happens.

As for the Scout auto's, I went through and took all the teams(including half of the twins) that did not get an auto. I left the 3 teams of mine that didnt get autos out of the drawing. I gave the scout auto's that worked for one of the teams that didnt get an auto to that team. Then I took the rest and did a random drawing. Here are the results.

Chris Bourjos - Padres
Alex Smith - Pirates
Mike Rizzo - Astros
Ralph Avila (redemption) - Mets
Bowman Scout - Twins
Jerry Lafferty - Phillies
Leon Wurth - Yankees
Joe Mason (redemption) - Brewers
Alex Smith - Red Sox
Bob Fontaine Jr. - Marlins
Tom Couston - Indians
Bill Buck - Tigers

So we recieved 12 Scout Autos, 8 Signs of the Future Box Toppers, 7 Chrome Autos & 0 Bowman Autos.

Totally un-baseball related, but congrats to my boy Marty Brodeur for winning his 4th Veznia throphy yesterday as the best Goalie in the NHL.

Good MAENING everyone!

That was a fun getting together for "you know what" at "you know where". Too bad no case hits came out of it. Thanks for doing the break, Randy.

I've been putting this off for a long time, but I want to give proper thank for an awesome...

MAILDAY!

From NYCPhilliephan Dave, he sent a box with loads of Twins. He sent 2008 Topps Series 2 and 2008 Upper Deck Series 2, 2008 Topps Co-Signers Mauer and Morneau, and a 2008 Bowman Chrome Ei Tintor X-fractor. Also included were various 2003 Topps 205 minis and a number of others. 45 new cards in all, which is a lot considering how large my collection has become. Thanks!

From Jaycob, he sent three team bags of various Twins. Included were a couple of 2004 Bowman Chrome refractors, 2004 Topps Total and various others. Also included was a 1978 TCMA 60's Jerry Arrigo. I am not familiar with this set. I like getting cards from older sets because it gives me a reason to do some research. Thanks!

Aaron, I am WAAAAAAAAAY overdue in getting a box to you. I finally have a good number of Twins sorted for you and packaged. I will be sending those out tomorrow. I hope the long delay will be made up for by what's inside.

Hope your day is going well. The Twins play in Miller Park against the Brewers this weekend. Hopefully, we can turn it around. Our bright side right now is that the rest of the division is just atrocious (no offense Tony C., James, Mark, Jaycob and Travis.) I also keep telling myself I will make the trip to Milwaukee someday. Maybe next year I can make it a reality.

Talk with you all later.
