Welcome to the group Greg!
Where about in Central Bama do you live?
I grew up in Cullman and spent most of my teenage years running around in B'ham.
Most of my family tree on the fathers side has come from Montgomery since the early 1900's
(before that we came over on a boat from Ireland)
Now my parents live in Nashville, but my sister and her family live in the B'ham suburbs.
I look forward to making your Nationals collection grow exponentially as part of this group.

John,
Braves and Angels this weekend.
Wanna give up an autographed Angels card to me when we win the series?
I'm willing to send you a Braves autographed card if the Braves take the series (LOL)

I live in the exact center of the state. A little town called Calera.
Nim...
I've got a nice little Chone auto that I'll put to test this weekend
Something tells me that it'll be yours whether they win or lose

Are you heading to any games?
Welcome Greg. I, too, am a newbie - just 2-3 months. It's a great group with some really cool members.
I enjoy this board so much, I now hardly have time for anything else online!
That's a good thing! Although now I get caught looking at cards on Beckett
(only slightly less embarrassing!)
All righty then. I am outta here. Looking forward to the thing at the thing (someone explain that to Greg).
Best, Dave

Hiya Greg:
Welcome to the best group going. You'll in for all sorts of delights besides cards. We range in age from high school to retirement, but we are all very young at heart. You'll find us from all backgrounds and all over the map, but our passion is baseball and we are avid collectors of our sport. From Jeremy (Mariners) who loves jerseys to Matt (Rockies) who pulls the best Bosox cards in the world for Wayne. Some are educators, some our top notch computer guys. We have our bumps and get down sometimes, but this group is like a blanket that nurtures you through the rough spots. One of the things I love about this group is its compassion for veterans and caring for them. That's what I do, and we have a couple of veterans among the membership.
We are just a wonderful association of card collectors who've become close over the years. I've been here since the beginning, and started out as the Nationals guy, until the Cardinals freed up. I am a Redbirds man, but I did collect Nationals for two years. I live just outside D.C., so I have the Nats in my backyard. Any Nats goodies I get, you can have, if my wife allows it. The Lovely Linda is good at grabbing stuff, but slow in giving it out.
Since I am an Emeritus member, and no long receive cards, you won't be sending to me, but I still send what little cards I have out to our members. Randy (Cardinals) is now the TC, and he's a terrific addition to the group, as is all the newbies. Welcome Greg, you have joined a fraternity like no other.
Kindest regards,
Thom aka Ironman

Wow! Thanks for all the welcomes everyone. This is going to be a lot of fun. I'll need a few days to get everything organized and then I will be sending out some packages.
Oh another TC abbreviation!
GABB is a specialty of tramers (though he still hasn't beaten my best GABB) and it stands for Giant (beep) Big Box.
