Good morning everyone,

Just wanted to quickly give thanks to Billy for the sweet package of Yankee cards received yesterday. Thanks so much Billy and welcome back.

My weekend is filled with baseball from Yankees/Sox to Staten Island Yankees vs Brooklyn Cyclones Saturday night. I hope to find time for some much needed organizing. My question to my fellow team collectors is, do you have certian techniques in terms of how you organize your card. Do you log into my collections first, then put away into your binders or boxes? I'm trying to see if there is an easier way for me to organize my cards. The way I do it takes me hours and I'd like to cut some time if I can.

Mike,
I log them in first. Then I put them in boxes, mark it that they are entered in, then when I find time, I sort them alphabetically, then put them in the appropriate monster boxes. Any card over $5 in book value goes into a toploader and is stored in a different monster box. GU and Auto's all get scanned and added to my photo web page, put in the appropriate size top loader and also goes in a different storage box. I love going through that box and seeing the great variety of cards I have. Unfortunately, the commons just sit in those big boxes. If I did not have so many, I would like to have found a way to store them that would allow me to flip through them.

I am falling behind on my entering cards into my collection. I have close to 200 cards to enter at the moment!

Off to play some golf this weekend. The I travel to NY to visit with my college buddies and do our fantasy football draft this weekend. It is early as some of us have vacations already planned during the weeks we normally draft.

Took a mental health day today! Enjoy your weekend.

I am sooooo behind on loging cards into my collection. I may have to start all over and sometimes it's a royal pain if I cannot find a card on there to log in. I keep all my cards in 9 pocket pages and binders. I have close to 18 binders and still need more. I'm also low on top loaders. I keep my GU and autos in 2 row boxes. I have diffrent boxes for diffrent items for diffrent sports. I might take time out tonight as I watch the game to start some logging. What I do is organize the cards by year, company and type, ie Sweet Spot, SP Authentics, etc. Then I go through the binders to find the type and place the cards there if needed. I need to come up with something to organize my cards on my laptop as well.

I've got mine organized in binders by year, then by manufacturer. While I'm not done yet, what I did was go to that teamset4u site and went to each year starting with 1977 for the Mariners and ran a search on each set listed and made my own checklist by year. While it's very very time consuming, it's so much easier to bring up the excel sheet and see which ones I'm missing from a certain set. You could also hit search and just copy/paste into word, but I prefer the funcionality of excel. Also it's easier to just print out a certain year or number of years to bring to a shop/show to fill holes.

GU cards get put into a tray and saved for Chris or whomever if they're not players I actively collect, and all autos go into a seperate auto binder. Speaking of which I need to get some of those flat rate boxes and send some bricks up to Chris

I've slowly started to get my Marlins collection into binders, lots and lots of empty pages pockets in that one so far.

OC! Been packing up a few mailers and things and I have a couple team bags worth of stuff for you! Do you still collect Hafner, Ozzie and Wickman? I know you had their names in your sig awhile back but I know it has since changed. Let me know so I can try and get these out ASAP. I have MANY Hafner Doubles to send you!

Chris Donati!! POST lol, no but really... How extensive is your Sizemore collection? Much like I do with others I try and give away my doubles to player collectors and wondered if you would want some Sizemore doubles I have accumulated?

JEREMY!! I also have some Sexsons for you if you would like them. I have some Brew Crew ones as well as Indians ones that could be neatly packaged up for you whenever! Just let me know!

Wow, I'm just typin away today... I owe packages to Dave and John and in the next few days it looks like Wayne and Matt as well! I've only gotten 5 packages this month :doubt: Pretty slow with gas and shipping prices killing everyone I'm sure! No rush to those who haven't sent but as soon as you do I will return the favor! PROMISE! Just ask Matt and Wayne, we have exchanged probably 7 or 8 packages each since I joined in March! Thanks guys!

Mike, as for collections. Currently I keep current Indians in a binder with about 250 cards that I don't have room for (Thanks Group!) but aside from that I keep all commons in a box and enter the cards in MY COLLECTIONS before putting them away. I have about 25-30 cards that need to be entered from the two maildays earlier this week.

Aftrenoon all....

I am back after 2 1/2 hours in the dentist chair getting a root canal / crown Sad

Man I HATE dentists.

Tonight starts an all important weekend series w/ Oakland. My Rangers need at least 2 of 3 and a sweep would be better. We can sure score some run but that pitching is killin me..CJ Wilson should be back in AAA...I emailed to VP of Player Personnel earlier and told them I would be available for an inning or 2 8/4 - 8/7 vs the Yankees. Really looking forward to it as it may be one of the last Father/Son we take since my son will graduate next May. Somehow I think college will be far more expensive than High School. Just glad I have the car out of the way. Surprised him the 4th of this month with a brand new 2008 Chev Cobalt and I think he slept in the the first 2 nights he had it.

I will have more "packages" to mail Monday.

GO RANGERS!!!
