Morning all...
That derby last night was amazing...I know its basically overglorified BP, but it still is alot of fun to watch...especially when someone puts on a show like Josh Hamilton did...by the way, anyone catch the rep from State Farm call Morneau "Jason" when he was presenting the trophy  First Hamilton gets all the attention and is actually the first person they interview after the derby, then the trophy presenter calls him the wrong name! Classic!!
Nim - Package went in the mail yesterday. Got a good amount of the teams you said you needed, and pretty good selection for the others. I also included some Angels that you may or may not have...
Also, my xmas in July gift went out yesterday...hopefully my "victim" likes (and doesnt have) what I got him...
Been remodeling and paining our office the last week, so I have gotten alot more manual labor at work than I am used to

. Glad that it is almost over and I can get back to boring accounting work
Well I am out...later all...
Good MAENING everyone!
I missed most of the Home Run Derby last night. I have my MLB.TV free trial so I'll watch it sometime this week. As a Twins fan, I'm very happy about the final result!
Some of you have told me that your X-Mas in July packages have been sent. Thanks for letting me know. I'm going to start a new thread on Nimster's site where everyone can post their gifts. I'm looking foward to seeing what everyone is getting.
Busy day at work, but I'm looking foward to the All-Star Game tonight.
Talk with you all later.

Hello Sportsfans! Long time no post. It's been a long long time, I just read Julys's 13 pages, may have to go back and read the rest of June's also. Seems like I missed a lot.
I would like to say sorry for my absence and will try and be more active. I have switched to my new job, where I have been working 6am to 1 pm and am still working the old job, from 1 pm to 8 or 9 pm. Its been a monster and frankly when I get home I am too wiped to sign online and read, post etc. I have been getting home, eating seeing my family and off to bed.
Rather then recount everything I read, I will be generic.
Happy Birthday to those who have had them since June.
I hope everyone gets healthy from their ailments, I am among you, with a blood sugar count of 416 at last check.
Congrats on those with new jobs and new homes.
Sorry to see some members go, although most seem to be around in some capacity still as Tier 2's etc.
Welcome to any new members.
Thanks for not placing my butt curbside, I will try and catch up and stay up. I am free from old gig July 31st officially.
And My Xmas in July victim should love his stuff, looking for one more fill card!
Eric

You have PM.
Bump!
I saw the first round of the derby last night. Pretty amazing!
For some reason it feels like friday to me.... :? The last couple of days have been pretty busy. I signed up for a local tennis tournament and a charity go-kart race through work(both are in Sept). I figured I'd make a few contacts by getting involved in community events.
I hope that everyone is doing well!
Cheers
Hey everybody.
Received packages from:
Thom sent a small, but diverse stack of cards. Included was a new 08 Bowman Chrome rookie, a sweet Carlos Beltran insert, and a fistful of other great Mets. Thanks Thom!
Barry sent a sweet Jose Reyes Turkey Red refractor, a Kevin Mulvey Bowman gold, and a cool assortment of older Mets. Thanks Barry!
Wayne sent an Oliver Perez Topps gold insert, some new 08 Chrome, Turkey Red, some neat inserts, some older Topps Finest, and a boatload of other Mets. Thanks Wayne, and congrats on the win!!
Tony C. Seriously dude, we need to break a couple boxes together at the National. I'll probably pick up a box or 2 Wednesday night or Thursday before we meet so we'll have something to open. Let me know what products you'd like to break. I was thinking of the new Piece of History. It's got 4 hits per box, and is relatively cheap. Let me know..
Well it's storming here on the plains, so I better get off the computer!
URGENT!!!
Can anyone send me a 2007 Bowman Draft base card of Matt LaPorta priority? Or two days to ensure that it is here by Friday afternoon? I will Paypal whatever you need to do it I would just like to have one for the game on Friday that I'm going to! PLEASE and THANK YOU!!!

Good morning everyone,
My apologies for my absence the past few days. Work and life has me stressed to the point of a mental breakdown. I have packages ready to be sent and they will be sent tomorrow.
I went to the Fanfest on Saturday. It was fun, but crowded which I expected. Lines for autographs was about 2-3 hours long. I wanted to get Gaylord Perry for my Yankees collection, but had to settle for Oscar Gamble, whom I already have. I also managed to get Robin Roberts to sign a Phillies ice cream mini helmet and Jeff Nelson to sign my Yankee Stadium piece I'm working on. Sunday I went to the Futures game at the Stadium and got sunburned from sitting in the bleachers all day.
I managed to pick up a few items for my Xmas in July victim, but I'm not too pleased with them so I may add something to the package before I send them out.
Anyways, back to the job I love so much. I wonder if a relocation to Tampa makes any sense.
Mike
Mike,
Sounds like fun. Although I am not sure I would ever wait more than a few minutes for an autograph. That is just me though.
If work is that bad and you really are mobile, if I were you I would consider moving in a heartbeat. I am sure the NYC is a cool place to live, but I also imagine you are paying a crazy amount for rent and don't have much space. My friends that lived in the city paid more in rent than I pay for a mortgage, and were lucky to have two bedrooms and a small bathroom! A new start might be just what you need somewhere.
Florida is cheap to live in compared to the northeast. Plus, they do not have an income tax. You could probably get a condo for dirt cheap down there, either renting or buying.
Hang in there.
Anyone stay up to the end of the game last night? I was in bed by 11:30.
Wayne
