My neighbor's grandfather worked for Dempsey at his restaurant in NY. She has a Dempsey auto'd menu from his restaurant her grandfather had signed while he worked there. I'm not a boxing memorabilia collector, so I have no idea on pricing on this.
Does anyone have a ballpark? Any clues what something like this goes for?
No but nice piece and probly pretty rare as well
I would conservatively say between $75-$150. Definitely a very cool item, but the bigger money from fighters of that era is in signed photos. The REALLY big money is if you can happen to stumble across signed gloves, which weren't readily available or affordable to people back then.
My step-grandfather knew Dempsey. I also have an auto'd menu from his restaurant that is currently hanging in my game room. Mine's in perfect condition...great piece to have in a collection. Why put a value on it? Mount it and keep it.
Funny to see your post. I just picked up a pair of mini boxing gloves that were originally sold in his resturant and signed by Jack. Fun stuff to find
