After attempting once w/a SGC 96 Vince Carter RC and having it come back as altered from BGS..I'm skeptical on the SGC grading company. Let me hear your stories on your success, because I'm leaning on puchasing a card that I want to cross over to BGS
SGC for vintage, BGS for modern Autos, PSA for anything.
SGC is very reputable. I would send my cards to them before PSA.
With that said, all the companies have had situations like this, it is what the grader sees as a "red flag". Because these graders spend less than a minute looking at these cards, it is possible for one to slip through now and then. If you have received the cad back, it will have a report card on it saying exactly what and where ti was altered. With out that information it is hard to tell if it is a definite "altered" card or a possible mistake.
i had a card in SGC, broke it out, sent it into BGS, and got an 8.5 which is basically what SGC had graded it...
