How many 1989 Topps Traded sets were produced? Anyone know??? Or a web-site that shows the total production of any given set for any year.

You might try posting this on the baseball message boards for more eyes to see this subject matter that can probably help.

I don't recall Topps ever issuing production numbers until the 1993 Finest product. If that is the case then the number is just a guess. I wouldn't be suprised if the number exceeded 50,000. Now if you are talking Topps Tiffany (the glossy version) then I believe there were 5000 sets produced.

They probably never released total production numbers on a lot of the stuff pre 1995 because they still have the printing presses going on some of that stuff from the late 1980's in to the early 1990's:lol: .

So how many '93 finest products were produced?

I don't remember Topps actually stating the number on 1993 Finest. I thought it was just rumored to be in the neighborhood of 5,000 cases.

Sadly, it seems that way doesn't it. I can just envision sometime in 2175 someone uncovering 3 cases of 1987 Topps.
