Decade of Maturity, how about a course on the English language and how to use it to express thoughts in a way that others understand...

Watch the video of Speights and tell me this kid couldn't use about another decade of maturity. I'm calling it now, whoever drafts this kid will regret it.
And whoever passes on him will regret it in a few years. Kids got skills.

I highly doubt his skills are anywhere near enough to outweigh his lack of maturity and seemingly extreme lack of intelligent thought.

Sean Williams last year slipped out of the lottery because of the exact same reasons. If you have skills you can play, will you have the drive to be the greatest? Probably not. But if you have skills, you can play not matter how dumb you are.

When you said maturity I was figuring he was going be all ghettoed out, but did it run through your mind that the kid is nervous? He's being asked questions by an NBA team that could decide his future, he might be nervous as he might not want to say the wrong thing, hence why he is stumbling on his words. I'm pretty sure everybody here has stumbled across their words, whether it be at a job interview or a girl, it happens.

Korleone Young was FAR more talented than about 80% of the players that got drafted with him in 98 but he was too immature to even get minutes in the NBA and we see how he turned out. So you can't really compare Speights to anyone else. I'm saying the likelihood that he fails as opposed to turning out to be Sean Williams is pretty damn low in my opinion.

Being nervous leads you to act like a 10 year old kid when someone asks you a question about yourself?

High schoolers and college players are a lot different. You actually have to know plays and defensive signals and such to play in college. High school is pretty much just a wash if your athletic and tall.
