Any good info on this guy?

Well, he didn't make BA's top 200 draft prospects list.

Right, and since he hasn't been touched yet it is a good indication that teams are unwilling to pay (especially since the Yankees didn't take him in the supplemental). He is headed to college without a doubt in my mind.

He just needs/wants some incentive not to go (ie $8-10M) The Yanks should grab him if he falls to them in the 2nd round.

Hopefully with the 64th pick, we get Scheppers or Melville (and play way over slot).

JP, any info on Holt?

98 BRAD HOLT, RHP, UNC Wilmington
Holt emerged this spring as the ace of a surging Seahawks baseball team. His fastball has improved since arriving in Wilmington and now sits between 92-94 mph, touching 96. Not only does he have a big arm, but he is able to maintain his velocity deep into games. However, the major difference between this year's Holt from the past is his vastly improved command. Holt at 6-foot-4, 195 pounds, has a perfect pro body with a clean delivery and a first-round arm. He is coordinated and athletic on the mound, attacking hitters with his fastball. The only thing holding him back is the lack of a usable secondary pitch. He offers a slider with loose spin and tends to slow his body and arm down when throwing it. Even though his secondary stuff is in need of refinement, teams will not walk away from the pro body, strong arm and life on the fastball.

Seems like a really good pick, 2 other scouting sites also really liked him. Apparently, his slider should eventually be an above-average pitch. Comparisons to Max Scherzer.

Pretty good pick, would've rather had Ross though.

Let's hope it is the yanks I am already pissed about Shooter.

Yeah. Cole seems pretty good but I heard he is obnoxious and gets very angry on the mound. Lets pray for Shooter Hunt, Tim Melville, or Brett Devall.

Also, I know he isn't supposed to go soon but I think Jack Armstrong would be a very good pick.
Sadly Shooter is gone, the twins at 31 took him

Hope for Galloway or Hood, I wasn't very impressed with Raben this year at all in the pretty large sample size that I saw him. I'm still a fan, as there's a lot of power potential from the left side, but he really struggled this year.

Sigh.

Still trying to figure this pick out.

Was so many other options.

Just realized both him and Devall are gone :doubt:

Now I'm hoping for Alex Meyer.

I'm in my classroom in a supervised study hall. My 7th graders are about to be introduced to the Draft. Whether they like it or not (I have ESPN2 on the TV).

Quite possibly the quote of the year for me!

You rock! Where were you when I was in school?

Well, they didn't get that interested - so no new middle school prospectors, unfortunately (or, fortunately).
I had a surprise extra help session after school, so I missed everything after the 8th pick until I got home during the compensation round.

I hope Casey Kelley doesn't sign and comes to Tennessee

Hopefully the Mets take Destin Hood, Blake Tekotte, Roger Kieshneck, Isaac Galloway or Tyson Ross with their next pick.
