Some late buzz from BA - looks like Cole's going to be a Yankee.

Beckham lead the cape cod league with 9 HR's and was considered one of the leagues best prospects. I believe this league is a wooden bat league but someone can let me know if I was misinformed.

It is a wood bat league and one of the reasons the scouts love to watch guys play there, it shows them how well they may or may not make the adjustment. It is a big difference between alluminum and wood, and some guys cant handle it

Isn't he hurt? I could be wrong, but isn't that why he is falling? If so I want nothing to do with him.

My fear today is Ike Davis ending up a Jay. Of all the slugging 1B available today, he's the one I'm least fond of. By a large margin.

Tim Beckham looks a mess. Pants way too high, shirt way too big, visible panty lines. I wouldn't draft him.


Also, those two guys behind the fence in the second Melville photo don't look nearly concerned enough that they're about to be eaten by a giant duck.

watching Cole's video makes me less impressed, dont liek how much he slings his arm, he doesnt use his legs enough, taxing his arm too much. I see an injury in the future with that delivery.

I am getting that sick to my stomach feeling just like last year, when I kept saying for the Yankees to take anyone BUT Brackman, I am getting that same feeling and saying for teh Yankees to draft anyone BUT Gerrit Cole.

I heard that he is hurt, someone please tell me that this guy has absolutely ZERO injury concerns.

The only top HS pitcher I heard was hurt is Sonny Gray.

I haven't heard about any injuries to Melville or Cole.
