I have only had a few cards graded (less than 50), so I have gone through a local shop. I have been charged $10, if the card has been graded and .25 if it didn't reach the minimum grade. I usually get it back within 15-20 days.

I read your sig. Why are you leaving "the card game"?

It is turning into too much a job to me, and unfortunately, I am not making any money at it. Every few years I sell off everything, wait a few months and buy a box of something and see if I have the drive (or interest) in collecting again. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I went for about 6-9 months where I didn't buy any cards. When it stops being fun, I get out for a while. I can deal with not making money as long as I am having fun, but can't lose money and not like doing it.

I did a show this past weekend, ended up leaving with a small stash of Conor Jackson (1B for Diamondbacks) and 5 other cards, that is it. I already have those cards up for sale on eBay. If I have any cards, I will want more, so I need to get rid of them all.

Yeah it can get to be quite the addiction sometimes. At least you should keep a few of them for your PC. Back in the day when I traded cards, I would always regret the odd trade. Since then I've just simply collected. I never sold off everything or anything like that. But that's just me. I can see your point though. If it's not fun for you, you have to kind of go cold turkey - cut yourself off completely. And yes if it's not fun anymore, kinda makes it hard to stay in the game. Good luck either way! Big Grin
