I am having one heck of a time with 1998 TOPPS GOLD LABEL. How do you know which class your card belongs to? I can't find any info at all. Even looked on Topps.com . I remember when they came out it had something to do with the picture, if I remember correctly. Please somebody any info or link to correct info is greatly appreciated.
Thank you, everyone.
all you have to do is read the set description here on beckett:

The 1998 Topps Gold Label set was printed on a prismatic 35 pt. Spectra-reflective rainbow stock and are gold foiled-stamped with the player's name and the Gold Label logo. In the foreground of each card is found a photo of a league standout with the background featuring quarterbacks passing and defensive players tackling. The backs carry career statistics and an insightful player commentary. Two parallel background variations for this set were also produced with the quarterbacks running (Class 2) and handing off the ball (Class 3) and defensive players running (Class 2) and pictured set before the snap (Class 3).

Randomly inserted in packs at the rate of one in two, this 100-card set is parallel to the base set and features photos of the quarterbacks and defensive players running in the background.

Randomly inserted in packs at the rate of one in four for Quarterback cards and one in eight for defensive player cards, this 100-card set is parallel to the base set and features photos of the quarterbacks handing off and defensive players set before the snap in the background.
So then the running backs are just running then? I have a red label robert smith. Are there not class 1,2,or 3 for running backs?
By the way you are a huge help. Thanks.

Thank you both very much
Each class has a different picture on the front, Class one has a plane gold name, class 2 has a holo-silver name and class three has a holo-gold name. The gold version need to be turned sideway in light to know if they are gold or holo-gold. Each class also come with gold, black and red versions (the circle around Topps) and the red versions have serial numbers.
