Im sorry if this has been asked before but didnt see anything when I searched.....

Do you think he is done or do you see someone taking a chance on him......Who would it be?

Starting to think that I should substitute my Ced Benson Contenders RC's for Charmin or kindling

hazezofgreen

Supposedly the Texans are interested in him. I think he will at least get one more shot in the NFL.

trimp

Someone will give him another chance. He sure is a disappointment up to this point in the NFL.

I get why the Bears cut him but I think it was a bit hasty.....

Oh Well... Matt Forte could walk on water and the Beas are still gonna stink this year......

No definite QB, A receiving core that is laughable, average at best RB's BUT hey we have a decent defense and the TE position nailed down!

flightposite

Heck, if Lawrence Phillips can get another chance after another chance.

Face it, the NFL is a place of 3rd and 4th chances. It doesn't matter what you do off the field, if you can do it on the field.

 Thats the problem... The only thing Ced has been able to do on the field is GET HURT or average a LOFTY 3.4 yards per carry...

Took the words right out of my mouth. Phillips, Ricky Williams, the list goes on and on. Biggest question I have is - does Benson really want to come back. Sure the money's nice, but he has almost no passion for the game. If that's the case, teams may have a difficult time signing him.

Yeah that was always my issue with him in Chicago. I could never tell if he just had no fire, if he was just a naturally super laid back person or if he was just always stoned......

Only difference with Ricky Williams is that he actually performed well at times in his career. You could at least justify some reason for another chance. I agree, someone will give Benson another shot but I'd be surprised if he succeeded.

That's the reason Travis Henry will always find a home no matter what - terrible off the field, but likely a top 10 RB on the field.

Benson? Not so much, but its not like he's in his 7th season... no doubt someone will sign him, but I'm sure his best chances have past him.
