when i got ice cold was the day i stopped buying boxes and pack and began to buy only singles.. ive saved a lot of money that way and i always get what i want

Great point, it just bugs me when a seller jams the card into the penny sleeve and completely whites out one or more of the corners before sticking it in the top loader.
At least when it's pack-pulled I know that's how it came, and I have the receipt, UPC code, etc., if I really need to send it in for a replacement.
When I buy singles I'm really just at the mercy of whoever is selling it, condition-wise.
But I hear you, I have been going that route more and more lately.

man last time i pulled a auto from retail was back in 08 topps heritage pulled real one auto dual of ernie banks/aramis ramirez # 25 and no luck since lol

my last pull was Nyger Morgan in 2008, from Topps Chrome, lol, that sucked!

Other than the Harper, my previous best auto out of retail was from 2002-03 Topps Basketball.
I pulled a Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on-card auto shortly after I got married.
A few days later, the wife said we needed $75 to buy a kitchen table from a friend of hers who was moving.
So, of course, I sold the Abdul-Jabbar for $80 to a Lakers fan I worked with.
I've regretted it ever since.
