I have all the 1993 Topps Black Gold Winners and people seem to be really interested in them and act like it's really hard to find them. They have a BV in the cents range so I find that hard to believe. Fact or fiction?
the 93 certifieds can sell for little but the 94s are almost always in higher demand for 90s player collectors
the redeemed ABCDs especially can go for a nice chunk of change. I've seen those go upwards of $100+ over the past couple of years - just takes the right bidders going after it
with a wide range of players on the cards if someone doesn't have it can easily lead to a bidding war since they don't pop up a ton (hard to find/people don't realize they have any value or a combination of both)
I actually had a similar issue come up recently. I traded for the 'D' Error version b/c it has the Ozzie Smith card on it. I did not get the Error version. I got the redeemed card instead (which show the correct cards on the front. The trader bailed on any info I was asking for from him. I ended up figuring it out myself and the redeemed version of the 'D' winner card has a BV 4x higher than the EXCH. card.
Those '93 BlackGold Winner cards have some surprising BV's for the redeemed and ERR cards.
