I wish they would do what melo said.. he is a true baller.. Let the ballers play and we will wait for a agreement no matter what that is. I dont think even 1/4 of the players care about money. I think it has to do with just the select few and the damn Lawers representing them. More then 1 player has said let us play, money dont matter.

Those are the players that have played for a while and have some bank saved. Or it's new people that haven't fallen into the NBA lifestyle yet. I just can't justify an average of 7 million a year, even 5 is pretty high. But, that's just me.

From what I've read recently, it's now the owners who can't agree amongst themselves on a deal. Apparently a deal has been put forward that the players Association is happy with and that a large number of owners is happy with (don't think it's quite a majority, however) but there are owners who don't agree. so now it's the owners screwing things up.

im sure its the owners that arent making as much would be making more, but not so for the higher tier owners that make alot more. im guessing the owners that make the most would be taking a cut and thats the ones that arent wanting the deal. this is total speculation with no facts leading to it, so i could be completely wrong.

I check in with NBA.com every couple of days and check the articles on the lockout there. My info about the owner's camp division was from a public letter Derek Fisher (President of the NBAPA) sent out to all players and made public. If anyone would know what is going on, it'd be him. He also said that there's no talk - not even a hint - of union decertification. It's just the player agents talking nonsense and trying to scare the NBA and Owners into coming to a decision. The first option players have - outside of playing an NBA season - is to go overseas for however long.

looks like they have postponed training camps and canceled 45 preseason games.
