Why when you trade for a card does the system duplicate your card and not delete the "trade for" value? This essentially makes this feature useless.
Here is an example what it leaves me with after a trade...........
2011 Topps Kimball Champions #KC13 Ty Cobb $3.00 Have 1 Trade for 0
2011 Topps Kimball Champions #KC13 Ty Cobb $3.00 Have 0 Trade for 1
So it still shows up as me needing 1. well on the surface you can say how hard is it to change the value? But make a trade for 50 cards now you have to search each card to get both to show up to deal with it.
Yes, I hate this as well...Makes you duplicate your work

Seems like they would want to fix this because for every card traded it adds 1 more card to clog up their system

Yeah, it's been reported by me a few times with different options but they're still looking for the best option.

Have you considered giving them a map and a flashlight?

Are you kidding me? Still looking for the best option? Why don't they take a look at
their own code from the old site that actually worked? I don't recall anyone having a problem with the way it worked then. It blows my mind that they could have a system that did this previously yet cannot figure out how to make it work now. Ditto that for almost everything that still doesn't work on this site.
The thing is, not everyone uses the "trade for" (ie - the old "wants") box. In fact, I'd be willing to guess the majority don't use it.
So for those people, when they trade for something, they LIKE that the system automatically adds a new record for them. For those (like myself) who already have the item in a collection, it means we have to delete a duplicate.
It's important to remember that people use their organizes differently - what works great for one collector may make a bunch of extra work for another. That's what is meant by 'looking for the best option"

But it used to work in the old system just fine for both cases, so at one point they had it figured out. I can't imagine why they have to
investigate what the best option is.
If it already exists in the ORG as a "trade for", update it; if it doesn't, add it. It ain't rocket surgery.
I have more of a problem with the 'traded away' part of this. If I have 2 copies of something FT and I trade 1, it adds the card to the 'Recently Traded' folder. Without the option to remove the listing from that folder, I have to send the card to the trash, then go to trash and move it to where it belongs. If it is in more than 1 folder, I have to ADD it to a folder AND move it to the other folder.
EX: I have cards sorted by sport, then year. I also have separate folders for PC cards AND for AU's and Mem cards. I traded a duplicate PC GU card and had to do all of the above just to get it back into 2 folders. I can't move a card to a folder it is already in. It should either remove it from all folders when it places the card there or allow us to remove it from Rec. Traded.
Are we EVER going to get the 'REMOVE from folder' option back?!!!

It certainly takes longer, but you can remove one card at a time by clicking the "X" in the tag for Recently Traded below the card description. I agree, though, that the "Remove from folder" option should be a priority.
I haven't tried it, but could you create a new collection, move the cards to the new collection, then delete the new collection? I think that would work to keep it in all the original collections and just get it out of Recently Traded.
