I think its already a for gone conclusion that he's not going anywhere ATLEAST until may(at the earliest) because everyone knows he wants out and no one is going to trade anything for him knowing so.( he really screwed himself over by going public with wanting to be traded and his wild 'only trade me here' claus) but i think towards the dealline, or after some injuries the rangers should be able to get something for him, he is still a great batter even if his glove is starting to grow some holes. anyhow was wondering how the rest of the MLB world see's it? anyone that would like to have him added to their team as an everyday field player?
I heard the Phils were trying to trade for him for a bit, but Im still not really sure how he would fit in as an everyday player here. Can he play RF?
Blah... I get tired of it when these type situations happen
Detroit would be happy to have him. I wonder if the Tigers are on his list of teams
his list is every cali team, colorado, houston, yankees. But since he wants out i think they can trade him to any team. And he doesnt play outfield but can play just about any infield position. and this isnt the first time michael young has been upset with the rangers moving him around seems like he trys to be the team guy until the team needs him to move to improve the team then he gets mad.
I think the image of him being a team player is exaggerated. He pulled the same bs when Andrus was brought up to play SS. He was going to get his AB's as a DH and spelling the other infielders.
More than anything he would proably take over 2B for Kinsler spot when he goes on the DL(which he does every year). I didn't agree with the Beltre signing and would have rather kept Vlad as the DH but Young's defense left alot to be desired during the playoffs. He said "Ole" more than a bullfighter in Spain.
i agree but i dont think they should of kept vlad, after the all-star break he was almost a garranteed 3 pitch out. He cant help but swing at everything
