These 54 standard-size playing cards have rounded corners and the typical playing card finish The cards were sold through the Alabama University bookstore. The fronts feature black-and-white posed action photos of helmetless players in their uniforms. A white border surrounds each picture and contains the card number and suit designation in the upper left corner and again, but inverted, in the lower right. The player's name and hometown appear just beneath the photo. The white-bordered crimson backs all have the Alabama "A" logo in white and the year of issue, 1973. The name Alabama Crimson Tide also appears on the backs. Since this is a set of playing cards, the set is checklisted below accordingly. In the checklist below S means Spades, D means Diamonds, C means Clubs, H means Hearts, and JK means Joker. The cards are in playing card order by suits and numbers are assigned to Aces (1), Jacks (11), Queens (12), and Kings (13). The jokers are unnumbered and listed at the end. If a player was in the 1972 set, they have the same pose in this set. This set was originally available from Alabama for $3.50. [Collapse]
