Bowman / AFLAC Redemption Update
11/11/2005 4:07:24 PM

Topps announces that its 2004 AFLAC High School All-American Set, which was included as a redemption card in 2004 Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects Baseball, will feature 12 of the 17 players eligible for the set. To be eligible for the set, players had to sign both a professional contract and a Topps contract. The subject list is as follows: Andrew McCutchen Beau Jones C.J. Henry Cameron Maybin Chris Volstad Jeff Lyman John Drennen Jon Egan P.J. Phillips Ryan Tucker Shane Funk Steve Johnson NOTICE TO GOLD REFRACTOR REDEMPTION HOLDERS: As redemption holders were notified through the hobby press and when they submitted their Gold Refractor Redemption cards, an unspecified number of Bowman Chrome Gold Refractor Redemption cards (for a set of AFLAC insert cards) had been unintentionally included into packs. Only 50 such cards were to be inserted, but because of manufacturing error, more than 50 were inserted. To rectify this problem, Topps will create a new 3-card autographed set (sequentially numbered to 125) and offer it as an option to Gold Refractor Redemption card holders. The new set will feature: Cameron Maybin - Autographed C.J. Henry - Autographed Andrew McCutchen - Autographed We will continue to offer this set as an option until there are only 50 consumers remaining with Gold Refractor Redemption cards. When the AFLAC Gold Refractor Sets are printed they will be serially numbered 1 through 50. An election form will be sent to those individuals who have submitted Gold Refractor Redemption cards.
