New UFC Champ Forrest Griffin's Cards Coming Soon

 In case you missed every knee-buckling leg kick and every sweat-spraying uppercut, the UFC crowned a new light heavyweight champion Saturday night. Forrest Griffin, who was the winner of the first Ultimate Fighter show which airs on Spike, took the belt from Quentin "Rampage" Jackson in a very close five-round unanimous decision.
With fighter cards beginning to creep into card products such as Sportkings (Jackson has an autograph and fight-worn shirt card in the product) and Donruss Americana, a big surge could be on the horizon for this previously untapped market.
Griffin's first cards will release Wednesday, July 16, as part of the Ring Kings insert in Donruss Americana 2. According to Donruss, the champ will have a signature card, a memorabilia card, an autographed memorabilia card and a prime autographed memorabilia card. The memorabilia pieces come from a pair of fight-worn shorts. | | |
