Beckett Media Launches Massive Online Gamer Magazine

DALLAS (April 17, 2006) --- Beckett Media, the industry leader in sports and entertainment collectibles magazines, will continue to branch out into the specialty publication arena with its newest title, Massive Online Gamer. This bi-monthly title will focus on speaking to and representing the community of online gamers as well as the products that keep players excited. The inaugural issue will feature interviews, instance maps, questing guides, and articles on people's interaction with various games.
"Massive Online Gamer will be the perfect magazine for gamers looking to enhance their playing experience in a different direction. We want to continue the growth of the online gaming community through information sharing and interaction outside the games. The contributors to Massive Online Gamer magazine will include experts at Beckett Media as well as industry professional and top gamers. Recently Beckett added Rebecca Bundy to the full time staff. Bundy brings many years of MMOG experience to Beckett both from a players perspective and as a beta tester on such wildly successful products as World of Warcraft.
The addition of Massive Online Gamer magazine continues Beckett Media's expansion into the gaming industry. Previous successful gaming and entertainment titles have included Cheat Codes in partnership with Dave Allison, the founder of the gaming industry's most authoritative cheat code website, www.cheatcc.com, and Fantasy Sports Monthly in partnership with rotoworld.com.
With an on sale date scheduled for the end of May, Beckett Media will utilize its exclusive distribution network and partnerships to insure a large and captive audience is introduced to Massive Online Gamer. With a $5.99 US cover price and a distribution to over 50,000 retail locations including Wal-Mart, Target, major grocery chains, comic and gaming shops, Barnes and Noble, Borders, Blockbuster, Toys R Us and many more mass market specialty and hobby retailers
