Target Selling Exclusive 2007 Topps Factory Set

Once again this holiday season, Target stores nationwide will be providing collectors the opportunity to purchase limited edition 2007 Topps Factory sets which include a special Mickey Mantle relic card.

The sets, retailing for $59.95, became available Friday, November 23, and are currently in-stock while supplies last. The traditional 664-card base set will be accompanied by one of seven confirmed Mickey Mantle relics. The relics -- white, tan, dark blue, dark green, lime green, red and plaid – all originated from the Mantle estate which has an exclusive licensing deal with Topps.

The Mantle relics are encased in a reprinted card of the either the famous 1953 or 1956 Topps issues. Early eBay sales for the plaid relic have been the strongest, routinely commanding $40 per. The more traditional single color swatches are still commanding strong activity on the open market, averaging about $25-$30 per.
