Game Exclusives –- the exclusive source for game-worn uniforms and the collectibles produced from them for the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks –- announced this week the unveiling of its Player of the Week program.
Every week during the 2007 NFL season, Game Exclusives officials will select a Player of the Week from the Cowboys, Bears and Redskins and then produce a limited-edition collectible honoring that player. Each piece of Player of the Week framed memorabilia will include a piece of game-worn uniform or game-used ball from that particular week's game, a color photograph from the depicted game and a descriptive nameplate featuring the respective Player of the Week's statistics from that game.
"This unique program provides a rare opportunity for collectors to capture a true piece of NFL history as soon as it happens each week," says Joe White, Game Exclusives vice president of product development. "In a matter of just days after any given game, we'll procure the memorabilia from that game's selected player and produce a limited-edition collectible honoring his performance.
"It's rare in the game-worn memorabilia market to be able to trace any one piece of player memorabilia to the exact game in which he wore it. Our exclusive relationships with the Cowboys, Bears, Redskins and Seahawks allows us to do precisely that."
Game Exclusives will produce two distinct sizes for each Player of the Week selected, an 8-by-10 version that retails for $99.99 and a 5-by-7 version that retails for $69.99. All pieces will be double-matted and sequentially numbered.
