Topps Introduces Paradigm Football Premium Brand

In line with products like Exquisite Collection and Playoff National Treasures, which will tip the SRP scale at anywhere from $500-$900 per pack upon their release next week, Topps is throwing its hat into the super premium product ring with 2006 Topps Paradigm.

The product will carry a $350 pack SRP, and is tentatively scheduled to release the last week of February. Each acrylic pack includes five cards:

1 sequentially #'d Veteran/Retired Base or Parallel card
1 sequentially #'d Rookie Dual Relic or Veteran/Retired Dual Relic card
1 sequentially #'d Autographed Rookie or Autographed Retired Variation card
1 sequentially #'d Autographed Relic Rookie card
1 sequentially #'d Autographed Relic Rookie or Autographed Relic Veteran/Retired card

Topps says that Paradigm "will lead all super premium football products in the way of collectibility and value and will set the standard of how super premium football products will be produced."

The product includes autographed Relic cards with game-worn patches signed by this year's hottest rookies, autographed dual rookie NFL logo patch cards and autographed nameplate letters from game-worn jerseys signed by 2006 rookies. Retires players include Joe Namath, Dan Marino, Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw, John Elway, Bart Starr, Favre, Gale Sayers, Tony Dorsett, Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith and more.
