Product Preview: 2006 Flair Showcase = No Redemptions & 1 Autograph per box.

Utilizing a deep history of inserts featuring an exciting mix of the top veterans, up-and-coming MLB talent and the return of the widely popular Autographics inserts; 2006 Flair Showcase Baseball will deliver a strong redemption free lineup of content such as two Showcase Stitches Memorabilia cards, one Autographics or Fresh Ink Signature in each box. This set marks the return of the Autographics cards as a regular insert after several years of being a standalone product.

The popular insert themes Hot Gloves and Wave of the Future will be returning for '06. Wave of the Future will showcase 30 of the games top young player including Justin Verlander, Kenji Johjima, and Felix Hernandez. The Hot Gloves checklist will highlight Darin Erstad, Jason Varitek, Derek Lee, Ichiro Suzuki, Ivan Rodriguez, Omar Vizquel and Torii Hunter.

"One of the first things collectors will notice is how true we stayed to Fleer's designs of the past, we've even brought back several inserts that we felt were key to this product such as Autographics, Wave of the Future and Hot Gloves," said Gregg Kohn, Baseball Product Manager for Upper Deck. "Collectors will really respond to what with done with this set. We've built this product for the hobbyist who has long term collectivity in mind."

Flair Showcase has gathered "Fresh Ink" from rising stars Miguel Cabrera, Huston Street, Johan Santana, Prince Fielder and Rickie Weeks. Each Fresh Ink card will be inserted at a ratio of 1:36 packs and combines with Autographics for one autograph per box.

2006 Flair Showcase Baseball's five-card packs hit retail and hobby shelves in late July with a suggested retail price of $4.99 per pack. The product content follows:
