Orange You Glad You Collect Hockey Cards?

  Recognizing that nothing goes hand-in-hand quite like healthy snacking and hockey cards, Upper Deck and Sunkist are teaming up to release a new series in bags of oranges.
The six-card set will be available exclusively in Canadian bags of Sunkist oranges and features members of the NHL Alumni Association-Dale Hawerchuk, Lanny McDonald, Richard Brodeur, Yvan Cournoyer, Wendel Clark and Doug Gilmour-who were prominent stars with Canadian-based teams. One card can be found in each specially marked bag during the promotion, which is scheduled to run Dec. 5 through May of next year.
Approximately 2.5 million cards are being produced for the promotion. Although it's licensed by neither the NHL or NHLPA, the set is another example of Upper Deck's commitment to expand the category. The company's trading card promotion with McDonald's of Canada debuted to great success earlier this week.
