Some time ago, collectors noticed that the large drop cap letter in the opening paragraph on the back of 1994 Collector's Choice cards where white instead of the traditional gray. This variation has become a significant card for many Alex Rodriguez collectors because the issue is a rookie. The A-Rod white letter variation, card #647, sells for about 2-1/2 times that of base versions.
